From July 14 to 16, the first “Strategy Training Class for Agents” for members of the Chinese Liquor Alliance came to a successful end in Changsha, Hunan, and included more than 50 allies. Wu Xiangdong, chairman of the Chinese Liquor Alliance, lectured the trainees personally.

The class aims to identify the future development directions of enterprises, enhance the core competitiveness of allies, and achieve added business value by delivering such courses as “Scope of Enterprise Development Strategies”, “Data Analysis of Top 10 Medium- and High-end Liquor Brands”, and “SWTO”. In addition to Wu Xiangdong, the other lecturers also included Miao Chun, Assistant to Chairman of VATS Group, and Shu Guohua, director of Yiqi Service Center and director of Product Development Department of VATS Group, who shared practical knowledge with the trainees in the class.

In order to practically run the class, a survey was conducted among the allies to learn about their expectations before the class was started, and the allies were actively mobilized during the class. For example, the "SWTO" course was chaired by Wu Xiangdong and the trainees discussed the topic in groups. They identified their strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities based on their actual situation and finalized speaking notes. Finally, all of the trainees participated to discuss the problems. In the meantime, they contributed their opinions about the future development of the Chinese Liquor Alliance.

In the morning of July 16, Chairman Wu Xiangdong lectured “Thoughts on Enterprise Development Strategy (Six Bigs and Six Smalls)” and explained in six aspects: big environment and small environment - good timing is the premise of geographical convenience and good human relations; big business and small business - strong business is king; big team and small team - the former requires morality and justice while the latter requires wisdom and bravery; big brand and small brand - following the former while creating the latter; big crisis and small crisis - leaving unbearable crisis for competitors, keeping bearable ones and looking for opportunities in a crisis; big opportunities and small opportunities - the former are dominated by external forces while the latter by external ones.

Wu Xiangdong said that running business is about weighing between “being big” and “being small”, but the common goal is to be strong. He advised the trainees to keep their enterprises surviving if they are optimistic about the future of the liquor industry! They should first make sure that their business does not fall and then try hard to seize the huge opportunities in the future three decades.
