“Industry 4.0” (Smart Manufacturing) project of Liuyang Zhongzhou Fireworks Group Co., Ltd. (“Zhongzhou Fireworks”) into which Jindong Capital Investment Co., Ltd. (“Jindong Capital”) founded by Wu Xiangdong invested over RMB140 million was recognized by three provincial and ministerial leaders a few days ago.

On July 19, Sun Huashan, the Deputy Director of the State Administration of Work Safety came to Zhongzhou Fireworks for investigation. He spoke highly of its fully automated production line 4.0 project. He said that the project brings hope of safe fireworks production and is a good project of benefiting the society by using “Industry 4.0 technology” and that this high-tech production line should be promoted by taking advantage of relevant national policies.

On July 26, Du Jiahao, the Deputy Secretary of the Hunan Provincial CPC Committee and Governor of Hunan Province, presided over a meeting on fireworks and firecrackers rectification in Zhongzhou Fireworks and said, “The fireworks and firecrackers industry has faced problems about mechanization, automation, safety and control for years. Today I saw the hope here and was very encouraged. Congratulations!” He also said this technological reform is “a groundbreaking technological revolution”.

On July 28, Dai Daojin, the Vice Governor of Hunan Province in charge of safe production, affirmed the fully automated production line for combined fireworks of Zhongzhou Fireworks. He said he saw the hope of mechanized and automated fireworks production and comprehensive promotion of the production line should be done.

In February 2015, Jindong Capital founded by Chairman Wu Xiangdong invested over RMB140 million into Zhongzhou Fireworks, becoming its second largest shareholder. Zhongzhou Fireworks is the world’s largest fireworks production enterprise. No any safety accident occurred in the past over 20 years. Li Changchu, the President of Zhongzhou Fireworks, is committed to safe production. Through unremitting efforts for 9 years, the most complicated and the most difficult fireworks Industry 4.0 project has been finally realized. It has passed acceptance inspection. This high-tech equipment will be promoted strongly nationwide.
