On November 16, the largest art complex in Chinese ceramic industry- Liling Ceramics Valley was opened to receive visitors. On that day, “Invitational Exhibition of International Ceramics Celebrities in Liling Ceramics Valley” had a grand opening. Over 50 artists from 18 countries and regions, and over 600 leaders at levels of province, prefecture-level city and city, personnel of authoritative media at home and abroad, and guests from all sectors of society gathered at Liling Ceramics Valley to witness this event. Chairman Wu Xiangdong of Jindong Capital (VATS Group) delivered a speech. He said Liling Ceramics Valley will become a card for ceramics of Hunan Province to reach the world.

Eight scenic areas of Liling Ceramics Valley were officially opened

Liling Ceramics Valley was invested by Jindong Capital (VATS Group) and is expected to become a creative industry operation platform about ceramics culture which integrates the functions of world-class ceramics culture art exchange, conferences and exhibitions, R&D, design, education, training, marketing and cultural tourism. This project covers a total land area of 650mu. Total building area is 1,000,000m2. Total investment is RMB2.7 billion. Development period is 6 years. Phase-I is core proejct area; it covers an area of 180mu, building area is about 70,000m2, and investment is about RMB750 million; there are Liling Ceramics Museum, Liling Ceramics Valley Art Gallery, Hotel Turandot, China Ceramics Art Design Center, Interantional Exhibition Center and Ceramics Bar which have been put into operation. Phase-II is Ciqikou ancient culture street, and it is planned to complete it and put it into operation on October 1, 2017. From November 16, 2016, eight scenic areas of Liling Ceramics Valley- building wonders, bright neon lights, wonderful cultural relics, ceramic feast, happy ceremics bar, animation paradise, amazing Turandot, and ceremics street with ancient charm have been officially opened.

Over 50 ceremics art giants gathered at Liling Ceramics Valley

“Invitational Exhibition of International Ceramics Celebrities in Liling Ceramics Valley” is held by UNESCO International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) in cooperation with non-membership unit around the world for the first time and is a ceramics exhibition held for the first time in Hunan Province. Themed “Modes”, this exhibition will last 3 months (from November 16, 2016 to February 15, 2017). Ceramics art lovers can go to Liling Ceramics Valley to appreciate ceramics art. During this exhibition, representative works of over 50 influential ceramics celebrities from 18 countries and regions will be displayed to show the most origial and most cutting-edge artistic ideas, academic opinions and creative results of contemporary ceramics art.
