Backup General Manager Training (First Session) of the Alliance was Launched

On November 20-25, the “Backup General Manager Training” (first session) of Chinese Liquor Heroes Alliance was launched at Hotel Turandot of Liling Ceramics Valley in Liling City, Hunan Province. 57 trainees participated in the training. 7 giants inside and outside the industry such as Ji Keliang, Ma Yong, Wu Xiangdong, He Henghui, Wang Dawei, Miao Chun and Xie Wei were lecturers.

Training project will take two years. This session lasted 6 days and was based on the standard of cultivating trainees into backup general managers. After one-day outward training, opening course was offered on November 21. Chairman Wu Xiangdong came and taught the first lesson “How a New Generation of Agents Start a Business”. He said it is a very great thing to start a business. “As an entrepreneur, I can’t teach you how to make money. But I can teach you how to be a good general manager.” He said the purpose of offering this course is to train their “thinking about starting a business”, “methods of starting a business” and “thinking ability”. Before the course ended, he offered a topic for discussion- “If you get RMB10 million startup capital, how will you use it to open a liquor agency?” On that day, Liu Chong, a trainee from Langfang Songjiulang Trade Co., Ltd. in Hebei Province, won the RMB10 million venture capital provided by Wu Xiangdong. It is the biggest “highlight” in this training.

On November 22, Mr. Ji Keliang, a celebrity in the liquor indsutry, “a giant in the liquor industry” and honorary chairman of Moutai Distillery taught a lesson. Wu Xiangdong gave an introduction of the lesson. Then Mr. Ji told development history of Moutai and reason analysis of Moutai’s sucesss and expressed his opinions about marketing in the liquor industry. After class, trainees came to take photos with Mr. Ji.

During the following training, Mr. Ma Yong, the Deputy Secretary General of China National Food Industry Association and Standing Vice President and Secretary General of Specialized Liquor Committee, taught “An Outline of China’s Liquor Development”; He Henghui, the President of VATS Group, taught “Embrace the Future Only when You See the Future (Market Expansion and Arrangement of the Liquor & Beverage Industry”; Ms. Wang Dawei, a legal adviser of the group, taught “Prevention, Control and Management of Corporate Legal Risks”; Mr. Miao Chun, the Assistant to Chairman of Jindong Capital (VATS Group), taught “Analysis of Corporate Development Strategies”, and each group chose a representative to conduct case analysis; Deputy General Manager Xie Wei of Jinyuanchun Liquor Sales Company taught “Channel Construction and Management” which combined theories with practice.

Training won unanimous praise from trainees by combining teaching and discussion.

Cao Zhengzong who was a trainee said, “Mr. Ji is nearly 80 years old. But he stood teaching. We all admire the thoughts of this giant in the liquor industry. He created the Moutai empire with craftsmen's spirit. Very inspiring!” Another trainee- Chen Shishun said, “By listening to Mr. Miao’s lesson, I suddenly realized there are a lot of similarities between typical wars at all times and in all countries and business wars nowdays. I benefited a lot from his lesson.”

During training, class cadres of the first session of backup general manager training were selected and “Job Responsbilities of Class Cadres” were issued. Trainees also visited Liling Art Ceramics Factory, Liling Museum, and Modes-Liling Ceramics International Invitational Exhibition and experienced ceramics DIY.
