On February 19, the first session of the Sixth Council of Hunan Overseas Friendship Association was held in Changsha. Du Jiahao, the Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and director of the Standing Committee of Hunan Provincial People’s Congress. The Articles of Association of Hunan Overseas Friendship Association (Amendment) was adopted at the session, and 30 celebrities at home and abroad, including Wu Xiangdong, Chairman of Jindong (VATS Group), were elected honorary presidents.

 

 

Du Jiabo congratulated on the opening of the session on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government and fully affirmed and sincerely appreciated the Hunan Overseas Friendship Association, especially its council members and friends at home abroad for their positive contributions to the economic and social development of Hunan, long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao, and peaceful development of cross-strait relations.

 

The Articles of Association of Hunan Overseas Friendship Association (Amendment) was adopted at the session, and Huang Lanxiang was elected the director of the Sixth Council of HUNAN OVERSEAS FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION. 30 celebrities at home and abroad, including Wu Xiangdong, Chairman of Jindong (VATS Group), were elected honorary presidents, and the vice president, secretary general, and executive director were also elected at the session.
