On September 3-4, the cast of the Farmers’ World, a program of the military and agricultural channel of CCTV (CCTV7), visited Shangri-La Wine Co., Ltd. for a show. Shu Shiping, general manager of Shangri-La, showed the cast around the winemaking workshop and briefed them on the Shangri-La production area and brand operation. The program producer interviewed Cao Jianhong, deputy general manager of Shangri-La, on food safety and brewing technology.

Cao Jianhong said that Shangri-La ensures its wine safety in two ways: The first is viticulture and plant protection. Due to the high altitude, strong ultraviolet radiation, low rainfall, large evaporation and few pests and diseases in the Shangri-La region, the company can produce high-quality grapes through ecological organic cultivation and plant protection, which allow it to effectively guarantee food safety. In addition, the company strictly tests the raw materials before harvesting, controls the wine brewing process, and sticks to a series of processes including product grading by a professional team, sampled testing and evaluation to ensure food safety and quality. Having tasted several varieties and types of wine, the host of the Farmers’ World program acclaimed that those products were “good” and almost made him “addictive”.
