There are more than 400 existing cellar pools in Linshui, in which there are 117 old ones well preserved from Wulongxing Workshop founded in the late Qing Dynasty. A large number of microorganisms have been accumulated in the aged cellars, which are rich in acid, vinegar, alcohol, aldehydes and heterocycles in the fermentation process.
It boasts the largest volume of cave storage base of 6km in Dabie Mountain in Linshui where the four seasons are like spring, the humidity is full, the air is filled and the liquor is dense. Anhui Linshui Liquor Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Anhui Zhonghua Yuquan Distillery, hereinafter referred to as “Linshui Liquor”) is a famous and excellent liquor enterprise in Anhui Province. After the founding of New China in 1949, the government established “State-owned Anhui Linshui Distillery” on the basis of Wulong Xingfang. It was one of the earliest liquor companies in New China. Its brands “Linshui”, “Linshui Yuquan”, and “Huangjia Qingyan” were recognized as “Famous Brands in Anhui Province”. In the only three official liquor competitions in Anhui Province held during 1981, 1983, and 1986, Linshui Liquor was the champion in a row. In January 2004, the distillery became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jindong Group and was renamed Anhui Linshui Liquor Co., Ltd.
In 2008, Linshui Liquor prospectively developed the cave stored liquor strategy and chose Dabie Mountain that extends eight hundred li as the site of cave storage to make liquor. This strategy started the trend of cave storage for Anhui liquor. In 2012, as the largest single liquor storage cave in China, Cave No. 6 along the six-kilometer cave cluster in Dabie Mountain in Linshui, was recognized by the Shanghai China Guinness Book of Records and was reputed as “the first liquor storage cave in China”; the cave as a private liquor cellar that Linshui Yuquan carved out on the banks of Wanfo Lake in 2016 has become a treasure place for liquor lovers from all over the country to store good liquor. Linshui Yuquan Cave Storage Liquor Cultural Festival, an annual event that Linshui Liquor has held since 2014, is not only a brand ceremony celebrated every year, but also one of the most professional and most immersive benchmark events to promote the cave storage liquor culture in China.

In Concours Mondial de Bruxelles - Spirits Selection (“Oscar in the liquor industry”), “Linshui Ten-Year Jar Sealed Liquor” and “Linshui Yuquan Full-Year Cave Storage Liquor” won five international medals in 2015, 2019, and 2020 respectively. “Linshui Yuquan Full-Year Cave Storage Liquor· Hand Made by Master” won the Grand Gold Award in 2020. This was the supreme award in the liquor industry and the first Grand Gold Award won by Anhui liquor.
